Not every project is a disaster story. One year we were asked to fix a process that everyone hated. We spent the first two weeks doing nothing but watching people use it and writing down every place they sighed or swore. The fix itself was small. But because we had understood the real problem first, it landed, and a year later people had genuinely forgotten how bad it used to be.
