SpeakFlew uses your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to remember your progress, streak, preferences, selected goal and level, and saved exercises. This is required for the product to work without an account, stays on your device, and is not used for tracking. It is not a cookie in the traditional sense and is not shared with anyone.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, SpeakFlew uses Google's Privacy & Messaging consent message — a Google-certified consent platform built on the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. It appears on your first visit and records your choice for advertising and analytics storage. Until you make a choice, Google Consent Mode keeps ad and analytics storage denied: Google Analytics stores nothing and ads are non-personalised or withheld. You can reopen it any time via “Privacy choices” in the footer. Outside these regions no message is shown and standard analytics/advertising cookies apply.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Consent Mode v2, with IP anonymisation) and Vercel Web Analytics / Speed Insights. Vercel's analytics are cookieless, set no identifiers and collect no personal data, so they run without a consent prompt. All of it is used to understand aggregate usage — for example, how many people complete a practice — never to build a profile of you, and we never send your transcript or audio to any analytics service.
This site uses Google AdSense. Where you have consented (or outside the regions above), Google may set cookies or use device identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads. Where consent is denied, ads are limited to non-personalised or not shown. Ads never appear on the active practice screen, and you can use every feature regardless.
