About SpeakFlew

SpeakFlew exists to solve one problem: “I understand English, but I don't get enough opportunities to speak.” It is a modern, free personal speaking practice studio that anyone can open and use immediately — no signup, no login, no account.

How it works

You pick a prompt (or take a recommendation), speak for a short time, and get feedback you can act on: fluency, grammar awareness, vocabulary range, pace, and one clear thing to improve next. Then you try again. Short, repeatable sessions beat long, occasional ones.

What we don't do

• We don't ask you to create an account. Your practice history stays in your browser on this device.
• We don't claim to be an official language test. Scores are coaching estimates.
• We don't fake pronunciation precision. In-browser speech recognition can't measure phonemes, so we report transcript similarity, not “pronunciation accuracy”.
• We don't upload your microphone audio.

Honest about the browser

In-browser speech recognition is strong in Chrome and Edge and limited or unavailable in Firefox and on iOS. Every exercise has a full typing path, and you still get text-based feedback either way.

What's next

The speaking experience comes first. Reading, writing and listening modules may follow later, but only once speaking practice is genuinely excellent.
