SpeakFlew gives you a practice estimate based on the available transcript and exercise signals. It is not a CEFR test, a certified speaking test, a placement test, or a professional pronunciation assessment. Do not use these scores for admissions, employment, or any official purpose.
Levels A1–C1 are used loosely, to help you choose suitable practice. They are described as “CEFR-inspired” and are not an official CEFR placement.
In-browser speech recognition does not provide phoneme-level analysis. Where we compare your speech to a reference, we report transcript similarity — how closely the words matched — not “pronunciation accuracy”. We do not produce per-sound scores.
Depending on your browser and session, we may not be able to measure speaking pace or continuity. When a metric can't be calculated, we say so rather than showing a made-up number.
Grammar and vocabulary feedback is heuristic and may miss issues or occasionally flag correct speech. Treat it as a coaching prompt, not a definitive correction.
