How to use the one-minute cue-card preparation

Write keywords and organise them in a simple sequence.

Practise nowA2-B2Practical advice · try it aloud

Original practice material · Draft: editorial review pending

Try it step by step

  • Read the cue card and identify each point you need to cover.
  • Spend about forty seconds writing four or five keywords in a logical order.
  • Use the remaining time to choose an opening and one example; do not write a full script.

Example to adapt

  • For a helpful person: colleague → first week → explained software → patient → now help others.

Self-check

  • Did I answer the actual question?
  • Did I include a reason, detail or example where appropriate?
  • What one thing will I try differently next time?
