Original practice material · Draft: editorial review pending

Try it step by step

  • Set the scene briefly: who, where and when.
  • Describe the event and your response in time order.
  • Finish with the outcome and one reflection.

Example to adapt

  • I missed my bus yesterday. I walked to the next stop and found another route. Next time I will leave earlier.

Self-check

  • Did I answer the actual question?
  • Did I include a reason, detail or example where appropriate?
  • What one thing will I try differently next time?
