Try it step by step

  • Choose a behaviour you control rather than a vague level target.
  • Specify when, how often and for how long you will practise.
  • Review after a week and adjust the plan to your actual schedule.

Example to adapt

  • After lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I will answer one prompt aloud for one minute.

Self-check

  • Did I answer the actual question?
  • Did I include a reason, detail or example where appropriate?
  • What one thing will I try differently next time?
