Try it step by step

  • Notice one repeated filler during an ordinary practice attempt.
  • Pause briefly at the end of an idea instead of immediately starting another sentence.
  • Repeat a short answer with fewer ideas and clearer pauses; do not aim for completely silent-free speech.

Example to adapt

  • I enjoy cooking. [Pause] It helps me relax after work.

Self-check

  • Did I answer the actual question?
  • Did I include a reason, detail or example where appropriate?
  • What one thing will I try differently next time?
