Try it step by step

  • State the idea you want the example to support.
  • Choose a small event with a person, action and outcome.
  • Explain in one sentence how the event supports your point.

Example to adapt

  • My neighbours are helpful. Last week one collected a parcel while I was away, so I did not miss the delivery.

Self-check

  • Did I answer the actual question?
  • Did I include a reason, detail or example where appropriate?
  • What one thing will I try differently next time?
