Reference
The best teacher I ever had did not seem to teach very much at all. She asked questions, waited longer than felt comfortable for answers, and treated wrong answers as interesting rather than embarrassing. Years later I realised what she had actually been doing: she was teaching us that thinking is slow, that being unsure is normal, and that the point was never to have the answer ready but to be willing to work towards it out loud.
