Reference

The fastest way to see a place is also the surest way to miss it. When every hour is scheduled and every sight is ticked off, a city becomes a series of photographs rather than an experience. The alternative is to move less and notice more: to sit in one square long enough to watch it change through the day, to get lost on purpose, to return to the same café until the staff nod at you. You come home having seen fewer things, and understood more of them.
